Who can do this: Letterloop owner or admin
Group mode is designed for a collaborative Letterloop. Contributors answer the Issue prompts, an owner or admin can curate the setup, and the delivered newsletter brings the group's responses together.
Good for families, friend groups, clubs, teams, and communities.
Use contributor roles for people who should receive prompts and reminders.
Use reader roles for people who should receive the finished Issue without being asked to reply.
From You mode is designed for a newsletter led by the owner. The owner contributes the main content, while non-owner members generally begin as readers. This works well when one person or a small admin team publishes updates to a wider private group.
The mode gives the Letterloop a starting participation model; member roles determine what each person actually does. An owner or admin can review members and make someone a contributor or reader as the group changes.
Note: Do not make every member a contributor simply to ensure they receive the Issue. Readers receive delivered Issues without receiving reply prompts.
If many people should answer every cycle, choose Group.
If updates mainly come from you, choose From You.
If only a few people write, use From You or keep a small contributor set and make the rest readers.
If participation changes over time, manage member roles rather than sharing accounts.
