Applies to: Web, Email, iPhone/iPad, Android
Who this affects: Contributors with an unsubmitted reply. Owners and Admins can send manual reminders.
Letterloop checks for unsubmitted Contributors about 72 hours, 48 hours, and 24 hours before the Issue's delivery time. The checks use the Issue's exact delivery date and time, not a separate fixed morning time for each recipient.
Example: If an Issue will deliver Friday around 6:00 PM, its automatic checkpoints are around Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:00 PM.
Note: New Issues normally open seven days before delivery. If an Owner or Admin changes an in-progress Issue's delivery date, future unsent reminder checkpoints follow the updated deadline. A reminder already sent is not sent again, and a checkpoint that has already passed is not sent late.
Contributors who have not submitted a reply can receive reminders.
Contributors who already submitted are excluded.
Readers are excluded because they do not submit replies.
All reminders: Receive each regularly scheduled reminder that applies.
Last reminder only: Receive only the reminder about 24 hours before the Issue is due.
None: Do not receive regularly scheduled reply reminders.
Email and push can be enabled or disabled separately. Push also requires Letterloop notifications to be allowed in the iOS or Android device settings.
Note: An Owner or Admin can still send a manual reminder regardless of the automatic-reminder frequency. The recipient must have at least one reminder delivery channel enabled to receive it.
Check these conditions before sending another reminder:
Reply status: The person must still be a Contributor with an unsubmitted reply when the checkpoint runs. Submitted Contributors and Readers are excluded.
Reminder choice: Open the Letterloop, choose Notifications, and check Reminder Notifications. Choose All reminders for every applicable checkpoint. Last reminder only intentionally skips the 72- and 48-hour reminders, while None skips all automatic reminders.
Delivery channel: Keep Email, Push, or both on. Push also needs Letterloop notifications allowed in the device settings.
Changed deadline: If the delivery date moved after a checkpoint had already passed, Letterloop does not send that checkpoint late. The next future checkpoint can still run.
Email delivery: Check spam and promotions folders, and confirm that the member email matches the account they use.
Expected result: At the next applicable checkpoint, each eligible Contributor receives the reminder through every enabled channel.
An Owner or Admin can use the current Issue's reminder controls to send a manual reminder to Contributors who have not replied. Sending it does not cancel or replace the next automatic checkpoint.
